Directions to Cottage

1. From Inverness take the B862 along the south side of the River Ness, signposted Dores. At the roundabout turn left on to the B8082 signposted to Raigmore Hospital. After 300 yards, turn right at the Essich/Torbreck Roundabout on to the Essich Road. Achvraid Farm is on the right, two miles up the hill.

2. Alternatively if approaching Inverness from the south via the A9, turn off the A9 at the Raigmore Hospital turning. Continue straight ahead at the roundabout on to the B8082. This road takes you behind Tesco’s, Focus and, after several roundabouts, past Fairways Golf Course and the Travel Lodge. At the Essich/Torbreck Roundabout turn left on to the Essich Road and Achvraid Farm is on the right two miles up the hill.

3. From Fort William and the west take the A82 to Inverness, travelling over the River Ness, passing the Town House, McDonald’s and the Castle. At the traffic lights in front of the Castle Tavern, turn right signposted to Dores. Follow the road down to the roundabout turn left onto the B8082 and proceed as at 1.
